Membership Criteria
To be considered for membership in the Coalition of Culturally Competent Providers (CCCP), an organization must meet the following criteria
1. Commitment to Culturally Competent Practices
The organization must demonstrate a sustained commitment to delivering culturally and linguistically responsive services. This commitment should be evident in both service delivery and organizational culture.
Examples of Evidence:
o Staff training programs on cultural competency, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
o Service delivery models that integrate cultural traditions and community norms.
o Language access services, such as translation and interpretation.
o Community engagement strategies in program planning and evaluation.
2. Organizational Policies Reflecting Cultural Competence
The organization must have written policies that promote equitable access to services and reflect respect for cultural diversity.
Examples of Policies:
o Non-Discrimination and Anti-Bias Policy.
o Language Access Policy for clients with limited English proficiency.
o Community Engagement Policy.
o Workforce Diversity and Inclusion Policy.
o Cultural Competency Training Policy for ongoing professional development.
3. Compliance with Legal and Ethical Standards
The organization must be in good standing with applicable licensing and regulatory bodies and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.
4. Alignment with CCCP’s Mission and Values
The organization must demonstrate alignment with CCCP’s mission to advocate for equitable access to services and culturally competent care.
5. Active Engagement in CCCP Activities
The organization must commit to participating in CCCP activities, including meetings, trainings, and advocacy efforts.
